Brand Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Brand Manager to join our Group Commercial Marketing team to support with the Brand Management for our key International brands: Upper Crust, Caffè Ritazza, Camden Food Company, Panopolis and Le Grand Comptoir.

The key focus for this role is to drive profitable global like for like sales growth for the SSP proprietary brands through the development and delivery of international commercial brands covering all aspects of the customer experience – price, promotions, product, service and environment.

SSP Group Plc. is a worldwide company operating numerous branded food and beverage outlets in the travel sector (airports, rail stations and other leisure environments). You might recognise some of our outlets РWhistlestop, Delice De France, Pumpkin Caf̩, Millies Cookies and Pasty Shop. We also have franchise agreements in travel locations for partners such as M&S Simply Food, Burger King, Starbucks and many other popular high street brands.

The Role

We have a great opportunity for a Brand Manager to join our International Marketing team, based in London. Candidates must be comfortable working across a number of brands, have strong attention to detail, good commercial and creative instincts, have strong interpersonal skills, and be tenacious, driven and able to work with others with ease.

Typical duties would include (but are not limited to);

Develop central brand strategies to drive like for like sales and profit growth (to agreed targets), transactions and ATV for owned brands. Plans to include all relevant customer offer levers (price, promotions, product, service and environment).
Build strong relationships with the country commercial and marketing teams to develop and support creation of mutually agreed commercial measurable plans.
Measure global brand performance in sales, profit and service levels, benchmarking against brand performance and recognised industry standards.
Develop and maintain brand toolkits and guidelines for each brand, to include agreed positioning, brand and store identity, core range, pricing principles, marketing communications, merchandising principles
Work with Customer & Food Development team to commission and interpret consumer research and insight to support development of core brands with key markets – ensuring that all brand development supports both the client and end consumer agenda
Work closely with Food Development team on product development plans for each brand – ensuring that all NPD reflects brand plan requirements and are mindful of market trends as well as the overall positioning of the brand
Liaise with global supply chain and in-market operational partners to ensure effective and profitable delivery of all brand innovations and initiatives to given business and partner requirements.
Understand and seek out the latest category, consumer and market trends so that all brand innovation is relevant to the travel sector
Facilitate all new global openings and refurbishments for the brand, ensuring that each project meets brand requirements, maximises profitability and is commercially viable.
Manage all brand activity spend to budget

The Details

To be successful in this role, we need someone with the following skills;

Brand Management / Brand Marketing experience preferred.
Previous experience within a retail / food marketing
Experience in multi brand environment (own and franchise brands) preferred
Excellent computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and brand and category management systems.
Knowledge of strategy deployment and the development of customer communications
Flexible and adaptable approach with excellent team working skills
Ability to positively influence colleagues, managing subjective issues with sensitivity
Ability to manage complex and multiple tasks with good prioritization skills
Proven track record in delivery of sales, profit and margin and all relevant commercial and brand marketing KPI’s
You must be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and be eligible to work in the UK.
