Our client has a vacancy for a Personal Assistant to provide his academic support, health care, personal support and help him make the most of his university experience!
Hours:Â Live-in (one week on /one week off)
Start Date:Â July 2016
Location:Â London School of Economics, London and at client’s home near Staplehurst, Kent.
Pay & Benefits
Â£595 to Â£700 per week worked
Free accommodation and bills when on shift
5.6 weeks holiday pro rata
About our Client
Our client suffered a spinal cord injury in a rugby accident in his first year at Leeds university and is now quadriplegic . He is returning to university in September to study Politics and Economics at the London School of Economics.
A friendly, motivated and private individual, interested in politics, economics, art, football and rugby.
About the Job
This job would be ideal for a recent graduate who has an interest in economics and politics. Care experience is not required as full training in our client’s particular requirements will be provided.
During the holidays our client will be living with his parents in Kent. He has self contained accommodation within the family home, where you will be provided with a PA room.
His time at university will be split between living in university accommodation and his parents home for occasional weekends. There will be a PA room in the same halls as our client.
This position will require you to work with our client at his home in Kent and at the London School of Economics.
Weekly live-in rota: 7 days on and 7 days off or similar arrangement.
You will provide our client’s academic support, (note-taking, scribe, library support and practical assistance), personal / health care and social support. This is also a flat mate” type of role!

Our client will employ a carer to provide his morning care during the week, you will be responsible for providing this support at week ends.
You must hold a full clean UK driving licence as you will be driving our client’s adapted car and have English as your first language.
Skills required for this job are:
You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client’s care therefore full training in his particular needs is provided.
