An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Sales Manager to join Park Cameras and their Management Team based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
Park Cameras is a leading retailer in the specialist photographic market, with an award-winning store / head office based in Burgess Hill, as well as a state-of-the art London store opened in 2013. We are a growing and exciting family-run business established for over 40 years, and we aspire to become the first-choice speciality photographic retailer across the UK.
You will run the company’s small Commercial Sales department (1 additional FTE). The role is a mixture of account management and business development, both office and field based. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of commercial sales – including new account development, existing account quote activity, exhibitions hosting. You will be responsible for achieving an annual sales target from both new and existing accounts.
As a Commercial Sales Manager your duties and responsibilities will be:
• New sales generation
Developing new commercial account opportunities in agreed markets
Developing and writing commercial bids & proposals
Organising, running and attending relevant trade shows & exhibitions
Identifying opportunities to tender (including collaborative purchasing through consortia), submitting PQQs and completing ITTs to secure long-term supply contracts
Co-ordinating across operations and commercial teams to maximise opportunities
Prioritising activity within commercial outbound sales team
Maintaining new product launch information
• Key customer management
Maintaining and structuring strong business-to-business customer relationships
Managing requests for quotes and ensuring timely fulfilment
Maintaining customer communication regarding product availability
Proactive account management and retention, offering advice & product solutions
External marketing and internal operational communications
Maintaining supplier relationships via commercial teams to maximise opportunities
• People Management
Leading, managing and motivating a small direct sales team
Recruitment and induction of new team members
Training and development on a continuous basis, sharing best-practice in sales management and sales skills, as well as new product training
An ideal Commercial Sales Manager will be able to self-motivate and inspire enthusiasm within your team, whilst holding team members accountable for their performance. You will drive the commercial sales department forwards to meet the company’s growth ambitions. You will have the following skills and experiences:
Enthusiastic and energetic with a positive outlook, with strong sales and negotiation abilities.
As well as being flexible and adaptable you will be highly organised, able to effectively manage your own time and prioritise tasks.
Demonstrative business-to-business sales experience is an essential requirement for the role, as is a proven demonstration of good loyalty to a past employer.
Your working hours will be 42.5 hours per week.
In return for this you will receive a salary of £22,000-£25,000 per annum depending on experience, plus performance-related commission/bonus
