Our BD and Marketing team, based in London, play a significant role in helping the firm develop competitive advantage so that we can achieve our growth strategy. They are integral to the way we build our profile, and develop an international and sustainable client base aligned to our core sectors.

The team currently consists of individuals in the UK, Paris and Munich. They come from various industry backgrounds, and each member brings a different perspective to the firm whether in a sector role, practice role, Client Relationship Management role or communications role. The team has built a strong reputation internally within the firm as being a proactive and credible group of ambassadors.

The Role:

An exciting, 12 month fixed term contract has become available due to maternity leave. We are looking for a Senior Business Development Executive to work within the BD function, supporting the real estate and life sciences sectors. This is a role that requires strong networking and organisational skills, together with a good communication style. It will be important to quickly build strong relationships with the Partners and associates in the groups in which you work.

The main objectives of the role are (but will not be limited too):

  • Delivering on the Group’s practice plans and sales targets for the financial year
  • Identifying and delivering on sector-focused campaigns around ‘hot topics’, and from your knowledge and research in the sectors
  • Managing the sector BD budgets for real estate and life sciences
  • Being an expert in your sectors and sharing knowledge with the relevant fee-earners
  • Working alongside our Bids Manager to deliver on sector-specific pitches
  • Working alongside our Events team to support on events relevant to your sectors

Skills and experience sought:

  • Solid Senior Business Development Executive experience
  • Experience within a legal environment a must
  • Experience within the real estate sector would be advantageous
  • Experience of legal submissions would be advantageous
  • Creative, well organised and a good communicator
  • Experience of working within a busy team able to deliver on time and within budget
  • A self-starter, forward thinking and proactive
