An established Bristol based search firm is looking to add to its team of consultants. With a track record of success across multiple sectors, this is a great opportunity to learn the art of headhunting and forge a career in the upper echelons of recruitment.
The initial focus will be on research, and attracting high level talent for exclusive board level positions across the UK. No two assignments are the same and you may find yourself looking to attract an MD for a construction firm one week, the next a CEO for a Financial Services institution. You will develop a number of techniques on candidate attraction and developing a talent pool, and when you are comfortable and ready to do so, you will move into a full consultant position.
The consultant role involves winning assignments, so this is done via initial telephone appointment making and lead generation, and culminates in face to face meets with senior executives to pitch for the opportunity to fill their role.
The ideal person is probably a graduate or of graduate calibre, and possesses an inquisitive mind. You will have some commercial work experience, this could be sales, telesales, something target driven, but are looking to develop a career path rather than move to another “job”.
The sales element is challenging and you should be capable of coping with the ups and downs of client development. When performed well however, the opportunity to meet business leaders and heads of organisations to pitch for their work is rewarding and interesting in return.
This could suit a sales person looking for a more interesting market to work in, or you are perhaps already in recruitment but looking to move up the food chain to senior appointments.
You should possess a good sense of humour, and can work independently and as part of a team.
Salary is very flexible and depends on the individual, so could be cÂ£20k to Â£25k, perhaps more for a proven record of success in a related field. OTE will add Â£10-15k year one and beyond as your career path continues.
