SSP UK is looking for a Brand Manager to manage the Branding and Marketing of our diverse estate of pubs and bars across the UK – approximately 70 outlets covering 9 brands and 14 bespoke bar concepts.You will be responsible for the commercial delivery of all of our Bars, from the creation of proposals to the pricing and sales mix within them.

As Brand Manager for our Bars you will be responsible for the overall profitability and sales growth within the category. The Brand Manager looks after the following tasks across the Bars category.
Key tasks will include:
Generate a 12 month commercial Plan which addresses brand growth, awareness and business objectives
Deliver all brand specific project briefs as appropriate to the Category, Marcomms & NPD teams, track status and ensure delivery on time and to budget.
Regularly create and present commercial proposals, and updates on live activity to the UK board
Develop regular range review programme based on commercial mix, customer and operational feedback & analysis to drive decisions on range effectiveness to achieve increased sales & profit per unit.
Using a price optimisation approach, competitive and contractual benchmarks recommend brand pricing activity to the Head of Category to drive brand specific profitability.
Regularly review (at least quarterly) the progress of the brand against commercial plan to ensure on target and make changes as appropriate.
Monitor competitor activity (new products, promotions & pricing) on a monthly basis and highlight any opportunities as well as customer satisfaction and mystery shopper trends
Monitor site performance through structured site visits, recognising opportunities and recommending appropriate action plans to relevant stakeholders.
Are you the ideal candidate for this role?
We are looking for someone with signifcant Brand Management experience, preferably within licensed retail, currently managing the brand plans for an existing estate.
Excellent computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and brand and category management systems.
Knowledge of strategy deployment and the development of customer communications
Flexible and adaptable approach with excellent team working skills
Ability to manage complex and multiple tasks with good prioritization skills
Proven track record in delivery of sales, profit and margin and all relevant commercial and brand marketing KPI’s
