An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Buyer to join an industry leading company based in Hertfordshire. You would be responsible for the procurement of all products and services across the company, negotiating with suppliers to ensure best price is achieved without compromising on quality.

Role Responsibilities

  • Raise purchase orders
  • Develop relationships with new and existing suppliers
  • Negotiate prices and terms for products and services
  • Manage the tendering process for new contracts
  • Retender existing contracts
  • Source and select vendors
  • Carry out monthly supplier review meetings
  • Manage suppliers to ensure standards of service remain high

Experience Required

  • Experience within Buying
  • Tendering experience
  • CIPS Qualification (Desirable not essential)
  • Enthusiastic, willing to learn
