This role has been listed as telesales, because for the first 3­6 months it will certainly involve lots of cold calling potential clients to build up new business and your own portfolio of clients. During this period, face to face meetings will be needed but maybe only once a week to start with. Becoming increasingly more frequent as your time goes on.

We have a great team of sales people on this title and we need another fantastic character to add to this. The sales rep needs to be articulate, confident, productive and have strong closing skills.

The Company:

Square Up Media launched in early 2005 by young entrepreneur Tim Slee and has quickly become the number one luxury publishing house in the City. We have a niche portfolio consisting of magazines, online & events and work with all of the top luxury brands across the UK & Europe.


Foodism is the UK’s largest food and drink magazine in London. ABC audited, we print 110,000 copies per month. As well as the printed magazine we also have an interactive website, weekly e­mail newsletter, social media and reader facing events. This role will be to sell across all of these. Key clients will include food, drink, appliances, restaurants as well as general lifestyle advertisers.

The Role:

The key tasks will include:
Sourcing new leads
Daily expected call rates of 60 minutes 45 calls
To achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets by selling advertising into our print publication and digital platforms via media agencies and clients direct.
To develop solid business relationships initially through telephone calls and moving onto face to face meetings after the initial 6 month period
To deliver professional articulate but friendly and fun pitches.
Someone that isn’t afraid to source their own leads as well as use our database and lead sources
To grow existing accounts and develop new revenue streams.
To maintain excellent awareness of our portfolio and competitive media.
A positive ‘can­do’ attitude
The Candidate:
1 – 2 years travel media sales experience (not essential)
Resilient with a desire to succeed and a passion for sales
Self motivation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
An ability to work as part of a team
Good IT skills
Good time management
Good telephone manner
The Salary:
£60,000 OTE (£18k­ – £25k basic depending on experience)
