We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Cost Engineer on a temp to perm basis for a Commercial Team in Hitchin.
Salary £21k

The ideal candidate will be advanced in Excel with data management experience and attention to detail. This role would suit someone from a finance/credit/invoice background.

The main focus of this role is to ensure all costs are allocated correctly on the contract, which will support the requirements of payment applications.

Cost Validation – Ensure all Ledger Costs are correctly applied and allocated on ISIS
Ensure all costs are allocated correctly and within the required timescales.
Raise cost exception reports and issue to QS’s
Raise Applications for all Work Types – This will include liaison with Project Closure and Commercial Teams
Project Closure – Ensure all projects are claimed as soon as Project Packs are complete
Plant – Support Commercial with any allocation issues.
NG Audits – Prepare and submit all data as requested by NG
Production of financial and statistical reports as required.
Performance of any reasonable task requested by line managers.
Close liaison with, and provision of assistance to, all operational and support staff to enable overall management of a project.
Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post
Requirements for this role:

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent numeracy skills.
Use of Microsoft Office applications – Intermediate knowledge of Excel – ability to produce and interrogate spreadsheets.
Confident and positive.
Attention to detail
Committed and enthusiastic.
Accurate and timely provision of information
