We are looking for a talented Java/C# Developer.
Working as a Java/C# Developer within our ELT Trade Capture you will be working as a hands-on developer as part of an agile team contributing towards a number of strategic initiatives and legal regulatory solutions for the Equity Derivatives and Delta 1 business areas. The trade capture group is responsible for design and development of a global equity derivatives workflow platform. The environment in which the team operates is constantly changing, and therefore the technology delivered to meet the business requirements needs to be adaptable and strategic in nature.

As the Java/C# Developer your main responsibilities will involve:
Developing and enhancing a range of critical applications and services
Delivering frequent high quality, tested features in to production.
Liaising with both technical and business colleagues located both locally in London and at international offices
Guiding and assisting the wider development team in leveraging best practices and delivering reusable strategic components
Performing production support activities covering Help Desk shifts, overnight call-out and bank holiday cover on a rotation basis across a range of applications supported by the team
As the Java/C# Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
At least 3-4 years commercial software development experience
Strong experience across Microsoft technologies including C# and Winforms
A strong background on the backend with Java
Strong understanding and experience of good development practises
Knowledge of design patterns and best practices.
Familiarity with concepts such as dependency injection and domain modelling
Experience working with relational databases
The ideal candidate will be a keen technologist with a passion for innovation. Strong developers with C# or Java skills only will be considered if willing to pick up the other language.
