We are seeking an experienced Senior Direct Marketing Manager to join the Age International Individual Giving Team with the objective of growing and maximising income by ensuring donors are acquired and retained efficiently, sustainably and in line with Age UK policies.
Develop and manage the business plan and budget, optimising return on investment, with milestones, timescales and KPIs
To lead and manage the donor recruitment programme across a wide-range of channels ensuring acquisition activity is cost efficient and effective across both sponsorship and general products.
To lead and manage the supporter retention programme ensuring welcome process and on-going journeys maximise retention and donor satisfaction.
To be the Individual Giving lead on DEC appeals with responsibility for a rapid fundraising appeal response in the event of an emergency, reviewing and improving procedures, producing KPIs and reporting.
Provide reports on performance of campaigns and creative themes including ROI and lifetime value analysis
Set, monitor and control income and expenditure in relation to agreed budgets and produce regular forecasts based on performance
To line manage the individuals within the Age International Individual Giving team. Set objectives and conduct 121s and performance reviews in line with organisational framework.
Work with key stakeholders across the organisation to promote Age International and enhance the lifetime value of supporters across the organisation
Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers and ensure that contracts reflect a relationship that protects Age UK’s position.
Demonstrable experience within Direct Marketing, preferably within an International Development Fundraising environment.
Can evidence experience of managing complex direct marketing budgets and campaigns.
Experience of requesting and interpreting analysis and reporting on the performance of DM campaigns.
Experience of evaluating marketing agencies and contract negotiations
Experience of line management and performance management
Thorough understanding of current regulations and best practise guidelines from ICO, DMA, oF and Charity Commission as well as awareness of the changing regulatory environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels
Project management skills
