Overview of the role
We are looking for a talented C# and SQL developer working within the development team, responsible for creating bespoke financial trading and research tools.
The development team designs and develops in-house trading and analysis tools using C# and SQL Server along with a suite of financial reports, with increasing overlap between the two. The ideal candidate will be able to work across the board when required in order to deliver the projects needed by the business.
The role requires good C# and SQL skills as well as some mathematical ability. The job offers a great opportunity to build an understanding of financial markets and pension schemes whilst leveraging technical skills developing valuable software.
As a group we work closely with the business to define and deliver projects as well as to fulfil ad-hoc data requirements. As a result candidates should have good communication skills and be comfortable working across the entire development lifecycle.
Developing financial software the successful candidate will be using basic financial mathematics so a degree in engineering or mathematics would be beneficial.
Designing and developing in-house financial trading and research software.
Extracting data from internal systems on an ad-hoc basis using SQL to support business needs.
Getting involved in designing the report back-end code in C#.
Knowledge and Experience
Strong SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions and etc.)
Familiarity with financial markets
