With a strong focus building our analysis and design capability across our team, an opportunity exists for an IT Business Analyst to join us as a result of our continued success!

A typical day as an IT Business Analyst will see you primarily focused on analysis and design in the digital solutions space including web applications and integration with small and large scale enterprise systems. You will work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional agile team, pairing with User Experience Designers, Software Developers, QA Engineers and Product Owners to deliver solutions that provide the right business outcome to our clients in the UK and Gulf Countries.

Suitable IT Business Analyst must be able to work in a fast-paced, often pressurised environment, where projects run from 1 week to 9 months. It is, therefore, essential to possess high energy levels, have strong attention to detail and enjoy the challenges that this role presents. some requirements are technically complex, with a specific focus on geographic information system (GIS),therefore technical background will be highly regarded. Projects vary from client to client.

As a consultant, roles and responsibilities can vary by project scope, project team composition and client needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide advice and analysis support for IT systems and/or process design and identify and action change requests, defects, risks and issues.

Support and provide inputs to business stakeholders and project team to draft implementation plan for build phase.

Commence negotiations with clients during the design, management and implementation of business change; understand system requirements and leverage expertise to resolve complex problems.

Capture and define tangible and measurable success criteria for project.

Support and provide input to the technical design of solution components.

Managing conflicting demands, working effectively with others and identifying innovative solutions to drive project success.

Understand and interpret customer requirements and business processes, and have the attention to detail necessary to construct robust project plans and manage technical design documentation.

Evaluate the impact of change requests and errors and suggest solutions and mitigation strategies to ensure minimal impact on business operations Identify risks with application issues and take these into account when planning, decision making and priority setting within agreed timeframes and quality requirements.

Develop functional scenario based test scripts; develop test data in support of User Acceptance Testing.

Interface with development team to provide necessary clarifications during the development.

Help coordinate activities between technical staff, system users, end user organizations, software programmers, system administrators, and managers.

Work with business and developers to resolve any issues arising during the build phase.

Participate in knowledge transfer to support team.

Conduct training sessions and produce user documentation.

Regular liaison with internal and external clients.

work with marketing team to craft, test and refine solution message and collateral.

Create Functional Design based on business requirements which is understandable by developers.

Act as a bridge between clients and Tech team to manage expectations and resolve issues.

Skill Set:

Able to deliver projects from end to end and able to work both Waterfall and Agile.

Strong expertise working across Infrastructure projects.

Able to run workshops and 1-2-1s.

Strong design and planning skills and knowledge of Functional requirements.

Knowledge of AS IS, TO BE process mapping and able to do Gap and Impact analysis.

Able to do Outcome reports.

Knowledge of UAT.

Knowledge in the domain with GIS development.

Knowledge of data warehousing, data mining, and resource management.

System thinker with an excellent understanding of software architecture, operating systems fundamentals and API designs.

Excellent track record of maintaining client relationships.

Superb interpersonal communication skills with technical and business professionals.

Solid understanding of the full SDLC.

Experience working with the development team and Infrastructure team.

Broad system experience – Upgrades, Implementations, IT Change.

Having MBA or similar qualification (desirable).

Able to travel to Gulf Countries.
