Business Development Manager
Salary: Â£24k + commission (OTE Â£35k)
My Client services include online job listings, a CV library, a career centre and a suite of digital marketing services. Working with clients in UK and mainland Europe, you will work closely with the sales lead and account managers to generate leads, write proposals and meet with clients to provide them with the most effective solutions to meet their recruitment needs.
Generate sales leads and establish relationships with existing and prospective clients within your client group.
Develop strong and effective working relationships with key contacts through regular close
contact, including face-to-face meetings, telephone and e-mail communication.
Manage the sales process to ensure the most appropriate services are presented to clients to meet their needs and that you achieve your sales targets.
Maintain accurate and regularly updated records of your pipeline and sales progress using
Communicate and interact with the account management team and other relevant internal teams, supporting the launch and delivery of client campaigns.
Attend trade shows and seminars to keep up-to-date with changes in the industry.
You must be self-motivated and undertake all aspects of your role with enthusiasm and commitment. A positive and professional attitude is required at all times when dealing with colleagues and external clients. You must be sales focused and have excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to exceed targets. Your approach to clients should be adaptable with the ability to communicate at all levels applying strong negotiating skills. To succeed in this role you will be fully focused on winning new business and the ability to be organised and effectively prioritise your workload is paramount. You will be confident, flexible, enthusiastic and determined to contribute to the success of the business unit by identifying new markets and gaining new clients.
Candidates must have previous sales experience within a similar solutions sale environment.
Ability to account manage multiple client accounts and relationships, prioritising tasks effectively.
Excellent communication, proposal writing, analytical and project management skills.
Confident in developing new business and presenting to clients at all levels.
A good understanding of what it takes to maintain and develop the most productive customer relationships.
Experience in setting deadlines to achieve objectives.
Experience in a solution sales environment (advertising/media, the recruitment industry or insurance related products), knowledge of the healthcare marketplace desirable.
