Product Manager Mobile Services
Voxbone is looking for a Product Manager Mobile Services to join its Product Management team in London, UK.
The product manager at Voxbone has the full responsibility over Voxbone’s Mobile services portfolio. He/she drives all aspects of the recently launched Mobile services by leading all teams involved with this product line. Based on customer feedback, a vision on the future of telecommunications and competitive intelligence, the product manager defines the future roadmap for Mobile services. He/she tracks the commercial success and operational performance of the Mobile services on a continuous basis using data analysis and reporting tools. To achieve the expected results, he/she drives sales and communications activities, oversees operational processes and takes care of “in-life management” activities, including pricing and performance monitoring, continuously searching for improvements. The product manager also serves as the focal point for pre-sales support for large customer prospects. He/she participates in meetings and calls with customers and contributes substantially to writing answers to Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
You own all aspects of Voxbone’s mobile services. You have a deep understanding of Voxbone’s mobile strategy and clear grasp of both external and internal factors that influence the product line
You have Profit & Loss responsibility over a product portfolio
You define Key Performance Indicators that provide visibility over product performance; you develop and manage product performance dashboards
You manage costs and pricing as well as all operational processes in order to achieve commercial success and deliver high quality services
You perform market analysis and competitive intelligence
You drive marketing communications in relation to your product line, writing blog post and articles, speaking at industry events, etc.
You identify customer-driven use cases and develop data-driven business cases for new services, features and coverage
You write detailed requirements and acceptance criteria, and perform thorough validation with Voxbone departments, customers, prospects and/or partners
You work with project management to deliver projects on time with the expected level of quality
You track the performance of newly launched services and compare them with the business case
You track the financial and operational performance of your services, as well as customer experience
You identify levers for improvements of functionality, customer experience and profitability of services
You communicate internally and externally on service changes in collaboration with marketing and support teams
You serve as focal point between the sales and technical/operational teams for all matters relating to your services
You assist the sales team in answering technical inquiries for prospects and customers
You take an active role in meetings or conference calls with prospects and customer, preparing custom presentations for this purpose
You write answers to Requests for Proposals
Business Project management
You manage the implementation of some of your projects with project contributors from other departments, from business case to “sunset review”, in-line with Voxbone’s project management methodology. This includes monthly status presentations to the executive team.
Prior to launch, you ensure that all tests have been performed and that systems and tools are ready
You organise internal and external communication to launch the service
Telecommunications engineer with marketing experience or commercial engineer with strong technical knowledge of telecommunication networks
+7 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the mobile telecommunications industry is a musts
Start-up experience a major plus, entrepreneurial spirit is a must
Postgraduate business education or MBA is a plus
Experience in project management, knowledge of PRINCE2 is a plus
Excellent English, speaking and writing
Strong knowledge of mobile and wholesale voice technologies (Circuit switched and VoIP based), SMS (SMPP, SS7), and data networks/technologies (IP, MPLS, Ethernet)
Good understanding of IT and web development (HTTP, SOAP, REST)
Strong communicator, methodical and well organized
Helicopter view, however with a meticulous eye for detail
