My client is a multi award winning pub restaurant with an excellent reputation based on the outskirts of Uckfield. Due to their continued success they are recruiting for a Sous Chef to join a well established and solid team.
You will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen and be encouraged to express your creative side. You will be responsible for menu development, ordering, controlling costs, food hygiene and health and safety controls. This is an extremely busy operation so experience of working at a quality fresh produce at a high volume is a prerequisite.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Sous Chef with experience of working with fresh ingredients and that has a passion for preparing quality dishes to work in a fantastic kitchen and a team atmosphere. You will also have a current basic food hygiene certificate and preferable NVQ1/2 in cookery or equivalent.
