My client is a multi award winning 2 Rosette pub restaurant with rooms who have an excellent reputation for their food and hospitality which is based on the outskirts of Uckfield. Due to their continued success they are recruiting for a Commis Chef to join a well established and solid team.
You will be responsible assisting the senior chefs in the preparation of the bar and fine dining menus which are continually evolving and will be working with the best seasonal and local produce. You will be responsible for, ordering, keeping wastage down, food hygiene and health and safety controls.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Commis Chef with experience of working with fresh ingredients and that has a passion for preparing quality dishes to work in a fantastic kitchen and a team atmosphere which can offer career progression. You will also have a current basic food hygiene certificate and preferable NVQ1/2 in cookery or equivalent.
Salary for this position is depending on experience but ranges from £17’000 to £19’000 + substantial tips, holiday pay and the opportunity to progress and develop your skills and knowledge, accommodation can be offered on a temporary basis.
