REAch2 Academy Trust is seeking to recruit an experienced HR Assistant/Administrator, specialising in Recruitment to be responsible for all aspects of recruitment administration for the central team, Headteachers as well as providing recruitment support and expertise for the Trust.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, organised, accurate, have a close eye to detail and be a devoted team player for the HR team and the wider REACH family.
About the Role:
The HR Assistant /Administrator will provide comprehensive HR administration support to the Trust and the HR Team. This will include support to the recruitment and selection process including advertising, short-listing, arranging interviews and appointment, ensuring compliance with legal, administrative and best practice requirements. This will also relate to all stages of the employee life-cycle: including new starters, induction, performance, development, employee relations and leavers, including arranging meetings, formulating any agendas and taking minutes of meetings.
You will maintain and update all HR records (personnel, training, recruitment etc.) both manual and computerised, and statistical data relating to HR processes that is required for reporting. You will also assist in the updating of HR Policies and the Employee Handbook in line with current employment legislation, and organise work experience placements, and apprenticeships, liaising with local education establishments and relevant employees.
Furthermore you will liaise with our payroll provider to ensure correct delivery of the monthly payroll for centrally employed staff, including contractual changes, adding on new starters and processing variations.
To be successful in this role you will have excellent administrative and IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. You will possess high analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate information. You will also have experience of working with confidential information and maintaining its security.
Capable of taking on a broad spectrum of work and the ability to multi-task and produce high quality outputs within agreed time frames, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
Ideally you will hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification such as CIPD. A good basic knowledge of current UK Employment Law and previous experience of providing an effective Human Resource service and advising on general HR issues would also be beneficial.
