Reporting to the Development manager working within a small team across multiple sites, this role encompasses all of the requirements of maintaining, supporting and developing our internal/external applications.
•Maintenance and support of internally developed applications.
•Enhancements to the current code base through both small changes (Support Tickets) and larger project based work.
•Be the go to staff member for .NET related queries
•Development of additional applications (C#) in support of business activities to support growth and enhance productivity/service offerings/competitive advantage
•Support and development of a Winforms application written predominantly in VB.NET that is currently undergoing a transition to C#.
•Consult with non-IT staff on providing opportunities for IT to provide additional organizational improvement, primarily through application development
•Analyse complex processes and decompose into concise and understandable requirements documentation
•Work collaboratively around the various business departments, forging effective relationships that enhance service.
•Keep Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) up to date.
•Share knowledge and skills effectively and maintain good communication with all colleagues.
•Share improvement and solution ideas on issues that impact users and services so that they can be employed.
Customer Service and Communication
•Liaise with Development manager and provide feedback in weekly updates.
•Quickly develop and build rapport with Super Users to guarantee excellent cross team communication and focus on achievement.
•Provide full support services to all users.
•Support the Development Manager by assisting in any additional duties as necessary.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
•C# – Minimum 3 years’ experience (ideally WinForms)
•Web Service creation and utilisation
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of attention-to-detail and strong sense of ownership/urgency
•Develop strong working relationships
•Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
