Located within the heart of the west midlands situated within Birmingham LEA but right on the border with Sandwell this primary school are looking to appoint a qualified Primary Teacher to a full time permanent post due to start in time for the new school year September 2016. The post has arisen due to a planned retirement and the successful applicant is likely to take on the duties of being one of two year 4 teachers at the school, though this hasn’t yet been confirmed.
The school itself is a 2 form entry primary school currently operating under the auspices of Birmingham LEA. They have garnered a good reputation locally since the appointment of the current Head Teacher a number of years ago. The school has been oversubscribed over the last 3 years and produced SAT’s results that have seen them in the top 20% of Birmingham Primary Schools for results over the same time period.
The school are looking to appoint a dedicated and passionate primary practitioner, who will embrace the schools ethos of hard work and high expectations and support the school in its drive towards achieving “Outstanding school status.” The successful applicant will benefit from a dedicated full time TA in the classroom and will be supported by the KS2 phase leader and other members of the schools SLT. Planning is done collaboratively, with each year group being given their PPA time together to ensure standards are high and best practice and new ideas are shared.
