We are currently looking for positive and motivated individuals for the role of a support worker for our fantastic site based in Surbiton. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual.
You will be providing support to residents and respite-users, in relation to all areas of need including personal care, health and safety needs, social interaction, and quality of life, in line with agreed support plans and an agreed approach to risk management.
Your purpose will be to promote independence, choice and empowerment in residents’ and respite users’ daily lives, reflecting their rights to consultation around their care package, being an active member of their family and their local community, and opportunities for learning, development and growth.
The successful candidate will have commitment to the provision of high quality person-centred support to people with learning disabilities and an understanding of the principles of self-advocacy and giving a voice to people with learning disabilities.

NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
Current or previous experience of supporting and caring for others, either through professional or personal experiences
Great communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative, planning and prioritising own workload
Ability to work at all times within the bounds of company procedure and policy, and good practice guidelines
