Application Support Analyst
My client is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join their growing team based in the West Midlands.
If you have experience of supporting Applications in an ITIL environment then I’m keen to speak to you.
To provide 2nd and 3rd level fixes and support on tickets that relate to the client’s strategic / mission critical applications
Support junior team members with issues not covered by process documents.
Involvement in process enhancements and projects where required and to make suggestions for improvements
Owner of configuration changes to core systems
Propose enhancements and improvements to the teams processes
Input to the Service Agreement process
Code and implement improvements if required
Maintain Application Support documents
Conduct investigations on system performance and make proposals for improvement.
Deploy software and suggest improvements for documentation if required
Candidates must have the following skills / experience:
ITIL v3 Foundation
Microsoft qualifications such as MTA, MCSA or MCSE
Minimum 3 years IT experience on supporting mission critical business applications in a 2nd line role
At least 3 years of supporting Microsoft frameworks
Knowledge of the technical principles and concepts used around Application Architectures
Sound knowledge of Enterprise Manager/SQL Server (including the ability to write advanced SQL queries)
MS SQL Server
Working within the financial services sector is preferred, as is experience with project specific build work, for products such as BizTalk and HP Exstream.
