Working for arguably the best operator in the U.K. for career development with the best value and most innovative gym product, we are now looking for a General Manager to help pre-sale, open and manage their new gym in Chelmsford, Essex.
The role of General Manager is a completely multi-functional, fast paced and hands-on role with plenty of responsibility and autonomy. Particular focus will be on driving brand standards, customer service levels and making the fitness product the best it can be with the support of your Assistant General Manager. You will recruit, coach, develop and motivate a team of personal trainers and instil a positive and fun working environment. You will also lead on the planning and execution of outreach activity in the local area, particularly during the pre-sales, to spread the word that your gym is going to the best in town!
To be considered for the General Manager post you will have at least 2-years senior management experience within the health and fitness industry and have exposure to managing fitness product, sales and operations departments ideally within a high volume environment. You will be the type of manager who enjoys leading from the front and engaging with members, inclusive and supportive in your approach to managing team members and have the personality to instil a fun and vibrant environment for your team and members.
