Events Manager

Reports to: Senior Events Manager

Job purpose: Work within Events team to produce and deliver events within The Hospital Club.

Works closely with: All other departments

Key Responsibilities:

To handle event enquiries including quoting, carrying out show rounds and booking events
Work with clients to ensure all their requirements are understood and provide exemplary service
To manage wedding / civil partnership enquiries including quoting, provision of show arounds to prospective clients and booking wedding events
Work with the appropriate teams to ensure that all operational requirements and arrangements are in place for each event e.g. equipment, food & beverage, promotional material etc
Manage events ensuring all clients needs and requests are met, and all operational requirements are coordinated
Actively network, socialise and entertain clients, to establish new relationships and secure events.
To focus on producing large scale events of up to 500 people.
To develop the internal hires business, optimising use of all available club spaces, Gallery, TV Studio, Oak Room and The Hospital Club annexe.
To support and promote the external events company
Maintain a database of all clients, suppliers, sponsors and other contacts as appropriate
In accordance with the Finance Department guidelines, process all invoices and refer to the Creative Director for appropriate authorisation
To meet and, where possible, exceed agreed sales revenue targets.
Prior experience of having worked in an events environment in UK
Proven track record of achieving £500k per annum in events sales revenue
Proven track record of producing events for 200+ guests
Prior experience of working with high-end companies, luxury brands and blue chip organisations.
Knowledge & Skills
Able to work effectively with computerised systems i.e. MS Office XP
High level of organisational skills with the ability to deal with conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of dealing with high profile people and top end brands
Strong contacts within the events industry
Strong customer care ethic and ability to build relationships at all levels

Hands-on person who can hit the ground running
