A great opportunity exists within my clients healthy ageing program for a developing physiotherapist to deliver services across community sites, with a focus on healthy ageing and maintaining the independence of their clients.
This position contributes to interdisciplinary team work, ensuring high quality coordinated services are provided in collaboration with clients and their family/carers.
Reporting to the Team Leader but working autonomously you will be responsible for:
Assessment of clients and development of individual physiotherapy intervention plans, comprising one-on-one and group programs in line with a “healthy Ageing” perspective.
Regular review and progression of individuals physiotherapy plans and discharge planning as appropriate.
Prescription of gait aids or other equipment where appropriate
Supervision of Allied Health Assistants/Exercise Leaders/Students.
Skills and Experience
To be considered you will have:
A Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated experience and well developed clinical skills in Physiotherapy within aged care, either community or residential settings.
Demonstrated organisational skills, through efficient time management and professional responsibility.
Highly developed communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in a linguistically diverse environment.
Valid National Police Check

Falls risks assessment tests (FRAT)
Exercise and falls management group programmes
Supply of equipment and aids
Liaison with residents, carers and relatives
