Sourcing Specialist

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary: £18,000 to £20,000, DOE
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5hrs a week, 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break

Job purpose:

Active Integrated Supply Limited is a leading service provider of Industrial and Engineering Services with a `blue-chip` client base throughout the UK. The company is growing and has openings for ambitious purchasing professionals.

The Role:

Active Integrated Supply Limited has a requirement for a Sourcing Specialist to sit within a busy Procurement Department. The role will involve supporting both internal and external sourcing requirements in an indirect market.

Key Responsibilities:

Tender management and completion via achieving competitive pricing, working to tight deadlines and resourcefulness.
Sourcing products and services within the Indirect Procurement market, specifically MRO, PPE, Tooling and Consumables.
Support the central team to ensure that best procurement practice is adopted on all day to day activity and purchasing processes are adhered to.
Have hands on approach with large or complex orders and quotations.
Source effectively and quickly for both internal and external requirements.
Ensure orders arrive at the right place and in the right time for both customers and internal users.
Negotiation with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality and cost savings; building strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
Be adaptable to the changing demands of the Company and any operational needs in delivering the companies contractual obligations to its customers.

Experience:

Previous experience ideally in the fields of MRO, Electrical, Mechanical, PPE, Tooling or Consumables.
