We are looking for an Area Manager to ensure the delivery of exceptional operational and commercial standards throughout the designated Area. The Area Manager should ensure compliance in all areas of operational activity and drive sales and profitability through the performance and development of Branch Managers, whilst managing within agreed budgets.

As an Area Manager you will:
Drive outstanding service, brand standards & the in-store experience, through positive leadership behaviours and coaching skills
Ensure commercial focus & advice is given to the store teams to provide the customer with the right offers in the right place, giving though to the local community and values
Analyse any available Management Information to maximize store turnover and profitability
Ensure the store management team are controlling in-store costs , with a particular focus on people costs
Know your stores local competition and proactively identify and respond to any threat or opportunity
Lead your store management team to achieve all team and individual targets
Keep up to date with key business information to continually develop knowledge and expertise
Full accountability for the delivery of the area KPI’s – sales v budget, salary, waste, ATV, stock results, controllable costs, margin
Ideal Area Manager Candidates will:
Be Confident, driven & enthusiastic leader who is a self- starter & motivator
Experience in managing remote teams in an ever changing customer oriented environment
Ability to create and develop great relationships with both customers and colleagues
Excellent communication skills & ability to build exceptional relationships
Experience of delivering a compliant environment through adherence to processes and procedure.
Previous management experience is essential.
The ability to work under pressure and deal with challenging situations professionally
You’ll also need to understand the power that leadership, strong planning, communication and teamwork can bring to delivering commercial results.
Candidates from a convenience or retail background would be of particular interest.
The successful Area Manager will be offered Â£45,000 – Â£50,000, Car allowance, Bonus scheme
