Working with the Trading team, the Promotional Planning Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development of the business’ pricing approach and embedding this across the whole business in order to deliver commercial benefit, while maintaining a strong brand image and values.
With a portfolio of more than 150 stores across the UK, this retail business is a leader in home and gardening products. With a head office based in Greater London, near Brentford. Set in a idyllic location, it is easily accessible by car from South West London, Middlesex and Surrey.
The Promotional Planning Analyst will be responsible for being aware of the latest competitor activity within pricing and finding ways of reflecting these within trading decisions that leave customers inspired and wanting more.
The main responsibilities of the Promotional Planning Analyst include:
Support the development of the pricing approach within the trading team and assist the business’ key stakeholders to implement across all categories, ensuring a consistent approach to pricing across the company.
Support the development of the promotions across the business within the trading team, ensuring a promotional programme which influences customer perception and behaviour to deliver against set commercial objectives.
Manages competitor pricing analysis, tracking offers and communicating back to the trading team.
Supports the review of pricing trials across the business to understand the margin impact, and to recommend pricing and promotion decisions in the future.
Supports the development of a range of tools and templates to help the Buyers make informed pricing and promotional decisions, streamlining cross-functional collaboration between departments.
Analyse the website and identify opportunities for promotions and pricing approaches.
Builds effective working relationship with colleagues within the trading team and across the wider business, thereby gaining engagement and buy-in to pricing plans and recommendations.
