Darwin Entertainment Centre is the premier entertainment venue in the Top End of Australia. With its close proximity to Asia and a diverse and dedicated local audience, it is a place where some of the biggest national and international stars come to play. The Centre boasts two versatile venues that host many different kinds of shows ranging from large scale productions to stand-up comedy, intimate concerts, corporate events and local schools and community performances. We also offer ticketing services for events throughout the NT such as major sporting codes’ premiership competition fixtures, festivals, outdoor concerts and racing events.

We are seeking an energetic and capable leader to co-ordinate and develop box office and ticketing activities at the Centre, ensuring consistently high quality services and customer satisfaction. The role will require that you build, manage and develop Ticketing systems for in-house and external shows & events, and maximise quality engagement and audience numbers through effective management of customer service portals, box office and related systems.

Essential Criteria

Customer service experience in a theatre or similar environment using cloud-based ticketing systems at a sophisticated level.
Demonstrated experience using a variety of software programs and ability to quickly develop competence and expertise with new programs.
Strong commercial focus.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Co-operative approach in working with colleagues in other areas of the business to achieve organisational goals and strive for continuous improvement.
Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and identify business development opportunities.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated leadership and staff management, training and mentoring skills.
Strong time and project management skills with the ability to steer projects to achieve deadlines.
Demonstrated cash handling and reconciliation experience.
Desired Criteria

Experience with computerised venue management systems.
Qualifications in a related field.
