This firm offer corporate and personal advice to a very established client base. For the private clients, the advice is very pension and investment lead, with a small amount of protection business on top, whereas the corporate business generally centres around Auto Enrolment and corporate pension schemes. They have joint ventures with a number of businesses, including a solicitors practice, an accountancy firm as well as a GI business to name but a few. Their average client portfolio size is in excess of £500,000.
They give very good support to their advisers, allowing them to take advantage of 1-1 paraplanning and administration support in order to give them the maximum amount of time in front of clients. They have found this to be a very successful model and avoids the advisers the frustration of spending the majority of their time writing reports.
They are looking for an adviser to come on board and help them manage the influx of new business that they receive from their professional connections, as the current advisers are struggling to cope. There would also be existing clients handed over by some of the more senior advisers/ directors, meaning that you would have clients to talk with from day one. Ideally you will have experience of working with corporate advice as well as private client advice, but one or other is equally fine.
This role will pay a salary of between £40,000 and £45,000 dependent on experience and qualifications. Pension exams will be looked upon favourably, specifically AF3. On target earning for this position are in excess of £75,000, an excellent proposition considering you will be provided with clients as well as a constant flow of new business from the firms professional connections.
