The role is driven by the need for a dedicated underwriting resource to oversee the organisations cyber portfolio. The purpose of the role is to underwrite, manage, and grow the company’s cyber portfolio in accordance with their cyber strategy. The role will be responsible for creating cyber strategy and will also play an integral part in contributing to the broader organisations overall cyber strategy. This is a crucial role since it represents the London market component of the company’s regional cyber network. It will be used to strengthen their presence and perception in the London market. A dedicated resource will also help to lead the initiative regarding the new Lloyd’s cyber accumulation reporting framework.
There are currently no direct reports however, the role will be responsible for building a team of cyber underwriters as part of a long term strategy to ensure continuity and mitigate the risk of key person dependency.
The role is based in London but may require some travel since the organisations cyber portfolio is comprised of business from around the globe.
Â·Manage and grow the organisations cyber portfolio in line with company plan projections and underwriting strategy & appetite. Negotiate large, complex cyber deals within designated authority.
Â·Create cyber business initiatives and organisations cyber strategy in conjunction with the Cyber Product Head.
Â·Lead/maintain relationships with key London market brokers, customers and other trading partners
Â·Contribute to strategy and technical elements of company cyber product development initiatives including wording, rating tools, and vendor relationships.
Â·Accurately report cyber portfolio metrics and perform key wording analysis for internal and external global accumulation tracking requirements.
Â·Acts as a mentor, referral point, and technical resource for junior underwriter(s) with possibility of taking on additional referral responsibility.
Â·Represent as lead cyber contact externally in the London market and internally among the organisations Global Underwriting Community.
Â·Participation in Global Product Board meetings for Cyber business with potential for position as permanent board member.
Â·Share key market and technical intelligence with colleagues from the cyber business in other parts of the world
Â·Lead/participate in cyber thought leadership initiatives such as speaking engagements and written works.
