Business Project Manager The Business Project Manager Role:This role is within the Global Broking Change Management team and the primary function will be to manage medium / large / complex business projects for sponsors from the Global Broking business (both global and EMEA specific initiatives) across both Front, Middle and Back Office and business support functions. The person in this role will be required to liaise with key stakeholders across the group. Project Management tasks and responsibilities to include:Â· Responsible for management/coordination of allocated large – medium projects/ small change work streamsÂ· Responsible for operational readiness for projects going into productionÂ· Responsible for release / launch planning for key systemsÂ· Work with business change management stakeholders (sponsors, business managers, broking staff and delivery teams) to deliver business change initiatives.Â· Attend steering committees, working groups, CAB, and other meetings associated with the project and change delivery, where appropriate.Â· Capture and agree requirements, estimate resource effort / costs and document benefits to seek appropriate levels of approval.Â· Produce required plans, project proposals and budgets.Â· Manage the project against the agreed plan, providing and updating weekly project status and research based reports to the project sponsor.Â· Monitor and maintain project budgets and related documentation (including risk logs / assessments).Â· Promote/ support the PMO function and operate in accordance with the project management framework Develop and maintain project related and other management information and associated reporting.Business Project Manager Skills and Competencies: Â· Ability to develop strong business stakeholder partnershipsÂ· Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of business value and the delivery of business outcomesÂ· Strong organisational skills and ability to successfully manage multiple tasksÂ· Risk management and mitigationÂ· Excellent written skills are essential for report writing and proof readingÂ· Skilled in Microsoft applications software (including MS project, Excel, Visio and SharePoint)Â· Ability to prioritise and meet deadlinesÂ· Capable of running multiple projects concurrentlyÂ· Strong interpersonal skills, client service oriented and resilientÂ· Ability to develop new skills, strives to continual learn through personal development and understand new technology as requiredKnowledge and Experience for the Business Project Manager: Â· Knowledge of Front, Middle and Back Office trading applications/ technologyÂ· Can demonstrate knowledge of financial products, specifically covering Rates, Equity Derivatives, Money Markets, Financial Futures, Commodities and Credit (Bonds).Â· Enterprise Data Warehouse/ BI solutions; Big Data ; Data Analytics; Cloud Computing; AWS; Data architecture; Â· Technology architecture and operationsÂ· Management of global initiatives working with geographically dispersed teams Â· Prince2 qualified, practitioner level or similarÂ· Development methodologies: SDLC; Agile/ Scrum; Kanban;Â· Tools: Jira; Aha; ServiceNow;Â· Business process re-engineering (BPR), Six Sigma (beneficial)Â· Regulatory landscape awareness
