Responsible for the effectiveness of the UK Industrial Automation Sales operation through the implementation of a winning sales strategy, sales processes and tools to support budget achievement and motivation and leadership of the external sales force. Immediately available.
Provide leadership and management of the Product Business Development and Sales UK team.
Continually assess the market for Industrial Automation products and services, collaborating with the General Manager and Automation Centre management team, and other key stakeholders across the business units.
Make regular sales calls with the sales force to assess opportunities, win significant projects, evaluate performance and provide guidance to respective sales personnel.
Develop and implement a regional plan for sales prospecting.
Ensure that all sales personnel prepare annual sales plans, including forecasts within assigned territory or vertical market.
Demonstrate command of a structured selling process and coach the use of best practice sales tools.
Monitor performance against monthly and annual sales plans, ensuring quality and accuracy of information provided by the sales team.
Prepare and regularly update the orders forecast and present monthly updates.
Win new OEM and End User business with significant annual volume in industries and applications that are a strong fit for the company.
Collaborate with senior Management on annual Sales Incentive Plans. Ensure equitable allocation of accounts, while ensuring optimal use of sales channels and resources.
Recommend changes and improvements in the business and commercial policies.
Provide input on new product development and market penetration strategies.
Keep expenses in line with productivity and sales plan for the region.
Strong sales management experience
Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering
Experienced in managing and leading a successful sales team
Minimum of 3 years technical field sales management experience in a related sales environment
Experience working with both OEMs and End Users
Strong commercial and technical background in drives and motors
Strategic mind-set, results driven and an action centred leader
