Account Handler – Professional Indemnity (Chelmsford, UK)

About the Role
As an Account Handler some of your key responsibilities will involve;
Renewal and retention of existing direct accounts.
Identification and conversion of additional business opportunities from current clients.
Preparation of renewal documentation including invitation, renewal schedules and clarification of claims.
Managing the diary to ensure policies are invited for renewal in good time to meet delivery standards.
Providing guidance on coverage issues to clients and/or the branch network.
Ensuring all post sale / alteration documentation is sent in a timely manner, including invoicing and policy issuance.
Compliance with PSG Business reporting requirements and FSA regulations.
General Office Duties as directed by the Line Manager.
Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
As an Account Handler your skills and qualifications will ideally include;
Preferably educated to degree standard or other relevant insurance qualifications.
Experience in the insurance industry.
Insurance Technical knowledge.
Experience in professional indemnity insurance.
Client relationship management.
Self-disciplined and organised.
General business awareness.
Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team environment.
Persistent and resilient.
Achievement and results focused.
Commitment to excellence relative to provision of client service.
IT literate – email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, databases.
Experience of using databases.
