ITSM Technical Business Consultant
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced ITSM Technical Business Consultant to join well established blue chip organisation based in Swindon with regular travel to customer sites.
As a ITSM Technical Business Consultant your primarily role will to be to work directly with the customer to understand their needs, propose solutions to business problems and lead the technical delivery of their Cherwell Service Management solution.
As a ITSM Technical Business Consultant you will be responsible for the following:
*Preparing and running functional design workshops including the creation of design specifications
based on out of the box functionality and customer requirements.
*Challenge customer requirements where necessary. Requires thought leadership and previous
experience to deliver good practice and true business solutions.
*Provide creative solutions to resolve business problems from customer requirements based on the
Cherwell Service Management technology, the ITIL v3 framework and previous solution experience.
*Hands-on technical delivery and documentation of Cherwell Service Management solutions within
specified deadlines employing technical skills in Windows Server and Microsoft .Net Framework
technology (Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Web Services etc).
Training on specific Cherwell technology will be given.
The candidate should possess the following qualities:
*Some hands-on experience of working with an IT Service Management software solution (ideally 12 –
18 months exp)
*Experience in providing creative solutions to business problems and working with IT Service
Management / ITIL processes Desirable
*Must have solid technical foundation in Microsoft .Net platforms (Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS,
Exchange, Active Directory)
*Experience in Web Services, ASP.Net, C#, Windows Powershell Desirable
*ITIL v2 or v3 Foundation Certification Desirable
*Has proven experience of working within key business projects Mandatory
*Ability to produce technical and customer facing documentation Desirable
*Has proven consulting skills and will be expected to work with the customer to understand their
requirements, build relationships, manage expectations and advise based on good practice and
*A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with multi-cultures Mandatory
*Has a can-do and pro-active attitude and passionate about delivering best practice IT Service
Management solutions Mandatory
