Marketing Strategy Manager – Birmingham
One of the UK’s best known brands is looking for a Marketing Strategy Manager to lead the planning and strategy planning process in the business.
To develop, implement and manage processes within the marketing function for planning, reporting and control of all marketing activity.
To develop, implement and operate a marketing performance management framework including relevant metrics and key performance indicators.
To lead the strategy and planning process.
Ensure that the strategy and plans align with relevant budgets.
Ensure that progress against plan is monitored and reported and that corrective actions and alternative plans are produced as required.
Work closely with the Marketing Managers in their Business Partner roles and support them with relevant planning and reporting data.
Produce business cases and relevant analysis for the function as required.
Undertake benchmarking and best practice reviews for the function.
Motivate, lead and develop the marketing strategy and planning team, planning and aligning
Excellent understanding of performance management, metrics and relevant techniques such as bench marking.
Experience of facilitating and leading strategy development and planning work.
Experience of defining multi-level strategies and plans within a marketing context.
Detailed knowledge of marketing processes and disciplines.
Sound budgeting skills.
Strong networking, influencing and relationship management skills with the ability to clearly communicate and influence at all levels.
Solid understanding of the creative process.
Numerate, analytical and decisive.
Strong commercial awareness and sound budgeting skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
