We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to work within the Infrastructure & Support team. This is an exciting environment working to support Tearfund’s global staff in serving the poor.
As an IT Engineer you will be working with a small Help-desk team to provide 1st and 2nd line support to our users across the UK and overseas.
You will demonstrate proven experience in providing technical support, and understand the importance of good customer service. You will be competent in the analysis and resolution of users support queries, faults and requests, ensuring that each call is resolved in the most effective way possible. With experience of working in a Windows network environment including Active Directory, you will be comfortable with everything from basic IT orientation for users through to more complex user support requests on Win7-8.1 Laptops and Windows Servers (2003 – 2012R2).
You will be a clear thinker and communicator, with a confident and friendly telephone/email manner, and an understanding and sensitivity to cross-cultural issues in a very demanding international relief environment.
