In fact we’re growing and reinventing many of our shops to create the most user-friendly, exciting and vibrant places from which to enjoy sport, catch up with the best odds or talk to our knowledgeable colleagues. Every Shop is all about customer service and delivery – making everyone feel at home, helping them choose from an incredible range of venues and games and being part of the day’s big screen action.
Right now we’re looking for a Manager’s Assistant; someone who can consistently provide friendly and engaging service to all our customers. This is a really varied role. Working alongside a great shop team you will be processing bets, promoting and demonstrating our in-shop gaming machines, keeping the shop clean and tidy and contributing to the overall atmosphere that we love to create for our customers. From time-to-time you will also have Duty Management responsibility for opening and closing the shop, supervising other colleagues and cashing up procedures.
It’s a busy job and there is never a dull moment so you will need to be planned and organised in your approach to work. You will also need to have a head for numbers – essential in a retail betting environment. You don’t need to have worked in this type of business before, but previous experience in customer facing roles does help. If you’ve had previous supervisory experience then that’s even better.
