My client, a leading Defence Consultancy, is looking to recruit an experienced Programme Assurance Practitioner. Reporting to the Risk & Assurance Group Lead the successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, line management and development of a team offering a broad spectrum of services across Asset and Information Management customers.
The role will involve a significant amount of engagement delivery and internal project management, in addition to supporting the business winning capability and capability development.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Accurately reporting the projected utilisation of the Assurance team through regular interaction and weekly reporting to the Group Lead
Timely completion of Performance Reports and associated personnel development plans and activities
Provision of input to business-winning activity when tasked by the Group Lead and relevant Business Managers
Timely escalation of significant risks, issues and events that may affect the business
Provision of input to capability development activities when tasked by the Group Leader and Capability Director
Input to an management of internal capability development plans
Maintain required level of personal project utilisation as advised by the Group Lead
To be successful in this role the candidate will need to be able to demonstrate experience and skills in the following:
Be educated to a minimum Degree level in a relevant field and have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
A demonstrable understanding of the role of “Programme Assurance” within industry, a basic understanding of “asset management” and an appreciation of the mutual role both functions have with each other
The ability to demonstrate knowledge, experience and competence in reviewing and assuring business processes and programme management approaches
A working knowledge of applying cost, schedule and benefits management skills within a programme environment, as well as the governance and assurance principles that underpin these. You should have the ability to draw upon examples where these have been deployed
Experience and success in people and team management including performance management and professional development
