As a Lead UI Developer you will provide technical expertise and best practice development in multi channel web projects for TUI. Yuo will deliver front end changes as part of a cross functional Agile Scrum team and support TUI and supplier UI competency centre members

What you will be doing

Deliver best practice, standards compliant XHTML, HTML5, CSS2/3 & OO JavaScript
Responsive page layouts with dynamic content
Deliver features utilising CSS frameworks: LESS or SASS
CMS integration
Assist in defining a Responsive Web Front End strategy and delivery
Contribute and define new Coding Standards including defining standards for SEO, accessibility, performance and SLAs
Review other team member’s code and submit your own for review
Active Scrum team member; following the framework’s ways of working and ceremonies
Drive quality & performance improvements by promoting new working practices
Deliver significant improvements across our 3 major brand websites: Thomson, First Choice and Falcon Holidays
Prototyping
Support our legacy systems until their decommissioning
Agree technical design and interfaces with application team and Solution Designers.
Effectively communicate progress and impediments within the Scrum
Attend & contribute to all Agile ceremonies
Work with your Scrum Master, Product Owner & team to continuously improve quality and ways of working
Ensure that scope change is agreed by Product Owner and captured for reporting

What we are looking for Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Competencies: i.e. those (including qualifications) required to fulfil role

XHTML, HTML5, CSS2 & CSS3
Experience using CSS frameworks: LESS or SASS
A Web Standards evangelist
Good working knowledge of Agile methodology
OO JavaScript/Dojo framework(exposure to AMD)
Contribute to UX/UI design based on current trends and user mental models
Able to create, add & update icon font set
Visualise System Architecture and mechanics
Demonstrable understanding of the project lifecycle
Commitment to delivery
Adaptable to changing priorities
Able to work on own initiative and anticipate workloads
Awareness of targets and constraints and ability to work to these
Team Player
Takes Ownership and Action
Good communicator
