My client is a global law firm with offices in the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Their client base reads like a ‘whose who’ – they include well-known global companies and financial institutions and national governments.
The firm is looking to recruit a fully qualified Financial Accountant who will assist with statutory accounts for their April 2016 audit. Experience of putting together statutory accounts and an understanding of the data will be necessary to deal with auditors.
Review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Assisting in preparing statutory accounts for 3 LLPs and 4 limited companies.
Preparing VAT returns for 5 entities and reconciling control accounts.
Assisting in preparing new process notes and procedures.
Assisting in the solicitors’ client account and office accounts audits.
Providing support to Legal Cashiers and Accounts Payable department, where required.
Support for EMEA offices where required.
Other reasonable duties as the business requires.
The successful candidate must be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ ACA or equivalent – 1+ PQE), with professional services experience, preferably law firm.
You will have good knowledge of UK GAAP and Solicitors Accounts Rules, be computer literate with strong Excel skills. Having strong interpersonal and communication skills will be required to work effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
