Experienced Fleet Manager/Fleet Administrator required for an immediate start (£36,250-£43,500) on a full time basis for our client based in Cambridgeshire, on a temporary 3-6 month contract.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Acts, Licensing Authorities, Vehicle Construction and Use Regulations, responsible for the service delivery of maintenance and repair of vehicles across the Trust and responsible for organising and managing the maintenance programme of the vehicles within the fleet.
Training and Qualifications:
The candidate will ideally have a;
Degree level qualification or equivalent level of experience in Transport and/or General Management
Approved apprenticeship in Transport
City & Guilds – Full Technological Certificate
Certificate of Professional Competence qualification (Goods and passenger vehicles)
Membership of professional body e.g. Institute of Road Transport Engineers.
Full UK driving licence including C1 (maximum of 3 points depending on code)
Experience of management in a transport or fleet environment with significant experience as a fleet engineer or transport manager of a fleet in excess of 100 vehicles.
Experience in the effective management of a budget.
Experience in developing staff through guidance and support.
Experience of working with an organisation operating specialist vehicles.
Experience in the performance management of maintenance contractors, accident repair companies, vehicle specialist builders and vehicle leasing companies.
Working knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act and associated legislation including Risk Management.
Ability to liaise/deal with other organisation/stakeholders.
Experience in leading and managing geographically diverse teams.
Project planning and management skills.
