We’re looking for bright, motivated graduates with a strong interest in technology and a lot of get up and go to build our workforce from the ground up. We operate a dedicated training academy for our new recruits so you’ll get all the support and guidance you need to make sure you reach your full potential.
Tech recruitment has a bad reputation and we’re out to set the record straight. We’re ethical, friendly and supportive (we know, right?) and we do not do things like other recruitment agencies. We’ve built one of the largest online tech communities in the world and we believe in offering a genuinely helpful service to our candidates and clients, as well as the wider industry. This is a pretty great opportunity for people willing to make the most of it – so if you think you are, please keep reading.
Important stuff about us
RecWorks is a unique company which blends recruitment with communities and social networks. Yes, our revenue is generated from recruitment, but 50% of what we do involves building and maintaining large technical communities. Through this approach we build genuine long term relationships with our candidates and clients.
We have very strong core values around honesty, respect, offering a friendly service and building long term relationships; we only recruit genuine, friendly people, so if that sounds like you, you’ll fit in perfectly. We always say, be nice, and work hard. Simple, but effective, and we really do live by this ethos.
Our values have driven our success since our beginnings, which is why we have such a great reputation throughout the industry (if we do say so ourselves) and our web and social footprint. We have built our business primarily from recommendations and referrals and our client portfolio ranges from household names and bluechips to some of the freshest new startups in London. We ourselves have a startup environment full of bright, motivated, enthusiastic people with a lot of respect for each other, so it’s a friendly and supportive place to be.
So – is it you we’re looking for?
We want graduates so we don’t expect any work experience; we like to train people our way, so everyone we employ gets the same message, resulting in consistent service and culture . You’ll get a lot of training and mentoring on the job in our academy, as we strongly believe in building a sustainable workforce; all our seniors started out this way and worked their way up. The really key thing is getting the right person.
You’ll be bright, ambitious, honest and friendly, someone who likes meeting new people and quickly builds genuine relationships. We have no interest in arrogance, overconfidence or fake charmers – we’re after the real deal, people who share our outlook and are willing to work their backsides off for fantastic return. We pay well, we give generous commission, and all our juniors get Apple Macbook Pros and iPhones for work. In return we expect loyalty, hard work, and commitment to growing our business long-term.
Our recruits will typically have a good degree, though they come from a range of backgrounds, including economics, sports science and teaching, as well as technical subjects, though most have a genuine interest in technology. You need strong analytical or research skills (or the potential for them) and excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. This isn’t a 9-5 job and if you’re after short-term payouts then it’s probably not the role for you. The harder you work, the more you’ll earn, and the more satisfaction you’ll get from your work. We know, because that’s how we do it. We want to grow our business long term, and we’ll invest in the right people to help us do just that.
So what do you say?
Interested? Up for the challenge? We think you’ll know if you’re right for this opportunity, and if you are, you’ll be able to persuade us too. So get in touch, and let’s see, shall we?
