Finance Manager – Coventry

Wallis Lynch are working exclusively on behalf of our client based in North Coventry. The role is providing temporary cover for a permanent member of staff who is taking a career break.

Our client is an SME busines and this is a hands on role that requires you to work effectively as part of a small team.

About the role:
The role will assume full responsibilities for the day to day operations of the Accounts function and preparation of the monthly management accounts.

Typically this will include:

·Accounts Preparation, Journals, Accruals & Prepayments
·Sales and Purchase Ledgers
·Bank control and reconciliation’s
·Credit Control/Debt Management
·Petty Cash and Expense control/Reconciliation
·VAT returns
·Sales/Supplier reporting
·Ad Hoc analysis
·Liaison with the external Accountants at appropriate times

About you:

Ideally the role will suit an experienced candidate, perhaps someone who is AAT qualified or at the early stages of their Accountancy Qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA. Candidates who are Qualified by experience with demonstrable experience will be considered. Due to the size of the organisation the role is going to be more suited to someone who is keen to make an impact on a smaller platform than someone who is looking for a very progressive career path.

Previous experience of Sage Payroll and/0r Sage Line 50 would be highly desirable as would a strong understanding of MS Excel. Knowledge of SAP would also be advantageous although not essential. The environment and role suits someone who thrives on being “hands on”, the successor really will have to be prepared to roll up their sleeves and get involved. Any previous knowlege of assisting with HR issues would also be advantageous.

An immediate start is available as the client would like as much handover as possible with the current Finance Manager.
