A Secondary school located in Basildon in the county of Essex is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to teach up to Year 11.This post is for an immediate start and is for one term with the possibility of being extended.
The most recent Ofsted inspection in 2014, rated the school as “Good” across all areas. The report observed that students behave extremely well and their attitudes to learning are exemplary. Teachers create trusting relationships and ensure their classrooms are constructive learning environments. Effective teaching has a positive impact on learning which results in students’ high achievement. The effective leadership of the headteacher and senior team has created a positive ethos shared by staff and students alike.
This is a smaller than average-sized school with 740 pupils of mixed gender on roll, aged 11-16. The school offer a multitude of extra-curricular activities such as; drama, dance club, music ensemble and basketball. Additionally, there are a wide range of extra revision classes at lunch time and after school available for students of all years.
The school has excellent transport links with five train stations within 5 miles of the school and London City airport and London Stansted airport can be reached in 40 minutes by car.
