Logistics / Supply Chain Assistant to support their newly promoted Team Manager.
This is an urgent requirement and our client is looking to interview and appoint quickly.
Day to day duties will include working in support of the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager with the following:
Manage logistics paperwork, import, export, shipping documentation etc
Liaise with freight forwarders
Take ownership of ‘Samples’ – receiving and sending out as required
Create, add, amend stock information on system
Order stock using database system
Managing inventory levels of 500/600 products.
Use sales analyses and forecasting to ensure right quantity of stock available without over stocking
Take responsibility for all Logistics, either direct from manufacturing site to customer or from warehouse to customer
Assist Procurement Director in sourcing of new products, new product development
The ideal candidate would:
Have strong excel skills for analysis
Strong word skills and attention to detail
Be a team player, happy to roll up your sleeves and support colleagues where necessary
Have a good understanding of logistics and supply chain
