Job Title: IT Business Analyst 2 year FTC
Salary: Â£36,478 plus SFIA supplement + Â£2,470 London Allowance
The purpose of the role is to Develop the ‘to be’ business processes and systems integration. Work with key business stakeholders and users in ensuring that the business, capability, functional & non-
functional requirements of the new network are thoroughly identified and explored.
Analyse, generate and capture the current and future requirements for the new network to be procured. Develop an understanding of stakeholder requirements, and position the solutions to best meet stakeholder requirements.
Produce a requirements definition documenting business, capability, functional and non-functional requirements for the new network.
Assess these requirements and develop detailed Fit/Gap documents.
Work with IT staff to analyse the current IT infrastructure to establish and define the technology, processes and strategies which the procured systems need to be compatible with.
Work with the Project Manager and Programme Manager to draw up a Business Case for the follow on projects in the Technology Department, particularly relating to the areas concerning the capabilities, technical, functional and non-functional requirements and fit/gap analysis.
Qualifications and Training:
Educated to degree level in a related field.
Business Analysis qualifications.
Related Business Analyst work experience involved in large scale business transformation projects, and use of structured Business Analysis methodologies for multi-million pound projects.
Strong business focused Business Analyst with specific expertise and experience in Business Analysis and Requirements Development and Reporting.
Comfortable working with different methodologies.
Experience of translating strategy and concepts into practical, compelling and meaningful documentation.
Expertise in business process mapping and analysis working with people, process and technology on new solutions.
Experience of also carrying out Systems Analysis, Data Modeling and/or Service Management assignments.
Skills: Business Analysis skills and use of structured Business Analysis methodologies.
Skills in Requirements Development and Reporting.
Strong skills in business and process analysis using best practice.
Skills in Systems Analysis, Data Modeling and/or Service Management.
Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
Good planning and time management skills.
IT literate with experience of using MS Office applications.
Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in changing situations, shifting priorities and simultaneous demands.
The ability to work within a team to achieve agreed objectives, both as a leader and as a team member.
Knowledge of structured Business Analysis methodologies and best practice.
