Our London based client is known as one of the leading practices that specialise in Intellectual Property law. This boutique law firm has just over 6 partners and a team of experience and enthusiastic lawyers, many of them with technical backgrounds.
They are currently seeking a Legal Accounts Assistant to cover maternity leave on a 10 month FTC. The Legal Accounts Assistant will play a key role within a small Finance team, to include the preparation of monthly invoices to clients and to provide assistance and support to the Accounts Manager and team.
Billing guide production and amendments. Drafting invoice production.
Finalise invoices, submit final bills to clients, including e-billing.
Carry out time write-offs/ transfers and transfer time as instructed.
Process disbursements, Counsel Fees and supplier invoices.
Office and client account processing: receipts, payments, bank reconciliations.
Producing reports for Partners/ Associates, as requested.
Process expense claims, manage petty cash and complete foreign currency orders and processing.
Assist with credit control and general finance queries (internal & external).
Other finance duties, as required – flexible approach to work required.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ legal accounts office experience, coupled with good working knowledge of SRA accounts rules. You will have excellent multi-tasking, time management and prioritisation skills, be efficient, accurate and have an eye for detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure effective communication to staff at all levels of a business is necessary. Must be pro-active, keen and interested to work in a progressive London law firm.
