Design, deliver and maintain a range of integrated internal communications for DST Customer Communications and provide advice and support to management in improving their internal communications.
Understanding the Audience
Ability to assimilate a wide range of information and then translate it for the relevant audience.
Design and deliver a high quality internal communications plan for DST CC and its constituent sites, using a suite of different media such as intranet, newsletters, messaging screens and social media.
Manage ad hoc and reactive communications, such as organisational announcements, current affairs issues and site relevant communications.
Work with colleagues to ensure consistent deployment of DST vision and direction. This will also involve developing a deep understanding of the different audiences to define and refine messages to have maximum effect on them.
On an ongoing basis, measure success of internal communications, constantly seeking continuous improvement.
Write and/or edit and approve internal communications.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have successfully worked within a similar, multi-site manufacturing business environment in an internal communications role.
Undergraduate degree is desirable.
A post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline would be of interest.
Travel within the UK will be required.
IC Project Management
Experience in internal communications, specifically management of internal communications projects.
Creative approach to communications.
Experience in managing senior stakeholders within a complex matrix organisation.
Ability to quickly grasp business strategy and design internal communications solutions in line with this strategy.
Experience in designing and implementing a wide variety of media, such as intranet pages, brochures and newsletters.
An appreciation of the role internal communications plays in employee engagement.
