Sous Chef – Restaurant at the British Museum
Benugo is a collection of award-winning high street Café delis, Restaurants, as well as concessions, in both the business and industry markets, and museums. We are currently looking for a Sous Chef to work in our busy restaurant at the British Museum.
The restaurant serves good, simple and honest food with a great focus on seasonality. All our food is fresh and locally sourced where possible.
As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for preparing and running the kitchen reporting to the Head Chef and covering in their absence. You will also be responsible for overseeing other members of the team and maintaining standards of health and safety, ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and organised according to hygiene regulations. You will also be encouraged to contribute to specials changes, menu development, training and recruitment.
Salary: £25,000- £28,000 depending on experience plus bonus

We are looking for a creative chef with a passion for food, a flair for presentation and a hunger for development. You should have experience ofstock control, menu planning and placing orders – with a good grasp of health and safety / food hygiene.
Experience working in a high volume environment is essential.
